XCH partners with Aclymate, one of the industry\'s leading carbon accounting software companies, to calculate our carbon footprint and offset our emissions. The offset project chosen was a local community in PA -- the Lancaster County Landfill Gas Capture project The landfill methane capture project destroys landfill gas from the Creswell and Frey Farm landfills, two adjacent municipal solid waste facilities located in Manor Township, Pennsylvania. The methane is collected by a network of gas wells at two landfill sites and conveyed to PPL\'s 3.2-megawatt gas-to-energy plant. The methane is then combusted, and the heat generated by the engine generators is supplied to the nearby dairy operation for use in their ice cream manufacturing process.
